Danger signs

1. 01Bleeding from the vagina.
2. 02A severe headache, blurred vision, flashing lights, or pain high under the ribs.
3. 03Swelling of the face or hands that comes on suddenly, or a fit.
4. 04Fever, or a bad smell from the vagina.
5. 05Strong pain on one side, early in pregnancy.
6. 06Water leaking from the vagina. Green, brown, or bloody fluid is urgent.
7. 07The baby moving much less than that baby’s usual pattern.
8. 08Burning urine together with fever.
9. 09Fainting, or your heart racing while you are resting.
10. 10A calf that is hot, red, swollen, and painful to walk on.

Tell them how many months you are, and which sign brought you. Bring the antenatal card if you can do it quickly. Leave it if going back will delay you.
